The Main Hall

The Main Hall can seat 180 theatre style. Alternatively tables and chairs give comfortable seating for 60 – 120.

The kitchen and bar areas both open directly onto the Hall for ease of serving.

If using the bar area for selling alcohol the hirer makes their own arrangements with local publicans for an occasional licence.

A “Drinkmaster” is available to provide a variety of hot drinks if required. Please discuss arrangements when booking the Hall.

The hall is popular for family & children’s parties with room for tables and chairs and having sufficient space left for entertainment.

The Killifreth Room

The Killifreth Room is popular for meetings, training and seminars and also for smaller children’s parties.  It is on the first floor anhas good disabled access.  The double fire doors open out onto the Millennium Green ~ ideal for those who want outdoor space as well as indoor.

The Wheal Jane Room

The Wheal Jane Room is an ideal committee room.  It is useful for training and as a “green room” when the stage is being used.

Hiring Charges

Chacewater Village Hall Management Committee hires any of the 3 rooms by the session; morning, afternoon and evening.

After 5 years of no increases the committee reluctantly decided that prices would have to go up slightly.  Click on the link below for current prices:

Hiring Rates 2018

These prices are reviewed annually at the Annual General Meeting of the Management Committee held in March.

Hire charges include all heating and use of the kitchen. The kitchen has water urns, kettles, mugs & plates. We have a “Drinksmaster” machine available that supplies hot drinks – tea, coffee, chocolate etc, for a small charge.

Private users are expected to collect the keys from the booking officer.  Full details will be given when a booking is confirmed.

For the larger function we have a supply of crockery and cutlery.

Please discuss all your requirements with the booking officer.

Chacewater Village Hall is fully wheelchair accessible. We do not have specific disabled parking, but if you expect any disabled people, we can put cones outside to restrict parking thus enabling direct wheelchair or disabled access from the road at the front.  Please discuss your requirements with the booking Officer.

Hire charges are kept as low as possible. Chacewater Village Hall does not have a full-time caretaker to open up the hall. Private users collect keys from the Booking Officer and return them after use. However, for ‘corporate’ users where this is impractical an arrangement is made whereby a caretaker unlocks the room, sets out all equipment and returns later to put it all away and lock up.  There is a small charge for this service.

Please discuss your requirements with the booking officer.
