A warm, quiet, summer evening. Birds roosting in the trees along the banks of the River Fal. Alone with your wife/girlfriend on your luxury yacht. the candlelight flickers, you pour a glass of wine, romance is in the air.... then -
Boom! Boom! Boom! 80 members and friends from Chacewater Bowling Club, raving it up on a disco boat sail by.
Bowls may be a quiet sport, but we sure know how to party!
Saturday 8th July.
It was hot dogs and hound dogs when ‘Elvis’ returned to the bowls club. A complete sell-out and another brilliant night.
Saturday 9th September.
We now look forward to the Beatles - already looks to be a sell-out, despite being a couple of months away. For live entertainment, Chacewater Bowling Club is the place to be.
To everyone who organized these events, we all say, thank you very much.
Oh yes, back to the Bowling. By the time you read this we will know if Chacewater has won the A League. One defeat only in 21 games, means they have to win their last three games to clinch the league. A superb second half of the season has seen the B team up to fifth place - keep it going. The C team have hopefully won through to the league finals in September by now, and the D team look to be climbing the league - a good year for everyone.
Next month we will give a full report on the ladies section, and how well they have done.
