Chacewater Players is an amateur dramatic group that performs 2 productions each year in Chacewater Village Hall. In January the production is a pantomime which involves Players aged 8 to 80! In May we do our summer production, the type of which varies from year to year. We have performed musicals, straight plays, variety shows, old time music hall and many others.
New members, for on stage, back stage and front-of-house are always welcome.
Our next production will be "The Babes in the Wood" to be performed in January. Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at 6pm for children & 7.30pm for adults in Chacewater Village Hall.
Summer’s Here ~ Autumn’s on Its Way!
As I sit here sweltering in the heat in my office typing up the various reports and stories for "What's On in Chacewater" I know that plans are well underway for next season’s programme of events. As always, everything starts again in September! And for Chacewater Players that’s no exception.
We are making preparations for the new season for our 2007 pantomime “Babes in the Wood”. The first meeting and auditions are early in September so please start thinking about it now. We would love to welcome new members ~ on stage we can find room for men, women, younger people and children; whilst backstage there are always lots of ‘jobs’ to do!
So, come along to the first meeting in Chacewater Village Hall on Monday 4th September at 6.30.pm for children and 7.30.pm for adults and young people. Meet the new producer and/or stage manager, find out all about us and have fun!
