Chacewater Football Club
The season is over, the goalposts have been taken down for the summer and the new Chacewater Football Club Committee is working hard on the pitch and pavilion in readiness for next season.
The first team finished in ninth position in Falmouth Helston League Division One after a poor start and a superb end to the season, winning eight of their last ten games. They also retained the Gareth Caddy Memorial Trophy. The reserves finished just above St. Ives Town in Mining League Division One and will be relegated to Division Two next season where life should be a little easier(subject to ratification at the league Annual General Meeting).
The Club Annual General Meeting was held recently at the Village Hall and was very well attended with new Officers and Committee members being elected.
The end of season Dinner and Dance was held this year at the Green Lawns Hotel in Falmouth at the end of May and a fantastic evening was enjoyed by all. The food and service was excellent and we were looked after very well all evening. Entertainment was provided free of charge by the King Charles Disco and the whole evening was superbly organised by Lesley Thomas and Brian Charles.
