An appointment system operates booking patients at ten minute intervals.
Appointments may be made at the surgery or by telephone. We would appreciate it
if you could observe the following points:
a) If you are unable to keep an appointment, please inform the surgery.
b) Please let the receptionist know the nature and urgency of the problem and
they will do their best to accommodate you.
c) We never refuse to see urgent cases. These will normally be fitted in at the
end of the surgery.
d) We try to keep to appointment times. However, some problems take longer and
sometimes an emergency removes the doctor from surgery. Please be patient.

The practice values telephone consultations/triage.
When you make a request to speak to a doctor the receptionist/telephonist will
ascertain the urgency of the request. Your details will be taken including name,
date of birth, telephone number and a brief explanation of the problem.
If the request is urgent the call will be transferred to the duty doctor. If the
request is non-urgent the details are written into the doctors/nurses message
book for their attention after surgery.
All telephone consultations/information are recorded in the patient's record.
