The Parish of Chacewater is within Carrick District Council, one of the 6 Districts in Cornwall. Parish Councils are responsible for open spaces, recreation grounds, play areas and so on. Chacewater has 72 footpaths and bridleways to keep clear. This is only partly paid for using funding from Cornwall County Council. The footpaths give great enjoyment to walkers and horse riders.
To add to the enjoyment of these rights of way The Chacewater Projects have published 2 footpath route maps and 1 bridleway route map, the latter being equally suitable for walkers. The route maps give details of the route together with the flora and fauna which may be observed during the walk. They are laminated so can be taken out even in wet conditions. The route maps are available from Chacewater Post Office, local shops, pubs and caravan parks. Or you can buy direct. For details send an e-mail.
The Parish boasts a very well equipped Health Centre and a fine school.
