News from Chacewater CP School

Dear members of the Chacewater Community

Well – I cannot believe the end of term is upon us and despite the weather we have had a wonderful time.  Firstly, we are celebrating some amazing SATS results.  100% of our children gained the required government standard of Level 4 in maths and 93% in reading and writing, putting us significantly above national averages.  Massive congratulations to the children in Year 6 and all the hard work of the staff and support of the parents at school.

The Summer term saw our fantastic whole school production of “Greece Goes to Pieces.”  All the children in the school took part in a feast of singing, dancing and comedy.  In line with the Olympics, we also held our own Olympic Day where the whole school moved to a neighbouring school to take part in a range of events including water polo, bowling, hockey, tennis and zumba.

May I take this opportunity to thank the village for their continuing support to the school and wish you a lovely summer.

September sees our new Reception children starting and the village show.
